Doug Condie - Senior Partner, Vice President Finance and Accounting

Doug CondieDoug Condie was born in Omaha, Nebraska, growing up throughout the western United States. He was raised in the petroleum industry, due to the fact his father was a petroleum engineer. Doug worked in various jobs related to the petroleum industry until graduating from college at the University of Wyoming (BS in Finance) in 1987 and from the University of Northern Colorado (BS in Accounting) in 1990. Doug is currently pursuing a degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington.

After college Doug began working at Fina Oil and Chemical as an accountant and held various accounting positions at Fina for seven years. He moved on to Matrix Telecom, Inc., a telecommunications company, as a senior financial analyst. There he performed a variety of jobs including preparing budgets, forecasts and profitability models for the company. While at Matrix the company was purchased by Netlojix, another relatively small growing telecommunications company. At Netlojix Doug specialized in forecasts and budgets and was quickly promoted to manager of the Treasury Department while still maintaining his duties as the cost accounting manager. In 1999 the company relocated to California. Deciding to stay in Texas he took a position with Excel Communications, Inc. as a senior financial analyst in the local division. Later Doug was promoted to a position with another startup division, International Services.

Working in telecommunications has provided Doug with knowledge of the effects of deregulation and the opportunity it provides for new businesses and industries. He believes restructuring will open new horizons for energy companies as integrated producers of value and service.

Doug has proven to be a much appreciated and respected sounding board to the partnership with his salient knowledge referenced from both a technical, engineering side and his finance background in E&P and with fast growing independents.
